Budapest is a beautiful city and one of the three Capitals of the old Habsburg Empire. When strolling through the streets of Budapest you will discover many similarities to Vienna and Prague.

Yet, Budapest is unique: Budapest straddles the River Danube in a breathtaking setting, unparalleled elsewhere in Europe. On the right bank the Buda Hills reach almost to the riverside and offer a fantastic panorama. Pest, on the left bank and connected to Buda by a series of impressive bridges, is still very much a "turn-of-the-century" city.

For those interested in architecture and history Budapest offers a lot: Buda Castle, Mattheus Church, and the Parliament building, St. Stephen's Basilica and the beautiful bridges crossing the Danube are only a few highlights of Budapest.
